# Overview

### Dictionary

* **Module** - A core part of ERMs commands. A module is a group for many different commands.

### Why are commands grouped into modules?

We believe that modules are a unique and organized approach to bot commands. Rather than having every command be under different slash command prefixes (eg, instead of `/duty manage` being easily grouped with `/duty admin`, it could be `/user on duty` and `/admin shift`.), having all commands be grouped under the same prefix makes the bot easy to navigate.
